The Captains Card – Information

Your Captains Card not only serves as your ID card, but it also is used to access your Captains Cash Account, Meal Plan, and Library privileges.

I. Getting a Captains Card

You can obtain your Captains Card at the David Student Union Welcome Desk. In order to serve you in a timely manner please bring with you, a valid photo ID, i.e. Driver’s license, military ID or passport, and a class schedule or letter of employment.

For incoming freshman, you will receive your Captains Card during your Setting Sail session.

Employees must first go to IT Services and obtain an email account before coming to the David Student Union Welcome Desk.

II. Lost or Damaged Card Replacement

Lost or damaged cards will be replaced at the David Student Union Welcome Desk upon the customer's or any University official’s request. Such replacements will be made in accordance with the current policies regarding card replacement. The cost to replace a lost or damaged Captains Card is $15.00. If it is determined that the damage is not your responsibility the cost is free, ie. faded picture, ID number or name. If your Captains Card is stolen and you can provide a copy of a police report to us, and the cost is free. To re-activate a previously issued Captains Card the cost is $5.00.
